Sorry, meant "touché," as in, you have a good point there! One of the things I love about Regrowth is that there are so many ways to do these things.

Touche! You have to go anyway for the regular infusion stone and some other quests.. might as well grab some glow while you're in there, right? :) At least that doesn't seem to anger the pigmen quite as much..

It needs gold, and once you have gold, you can get redstone from glowstone via the alchemy catalyst, so they're all pretty much equal. Forestry's peat-fired engine is another option.

I have an idea.. still untested in the game, but the math works. I'm working on this in a new world to see if it's really viable. Using the magical fertiliser, you can turn this pack into a tree-chopping/bone-mealing pack instead of a farming pack. I'm assuming 3 bone meal/magical fertiliser are...

Other than the charred wood that spawns, I don't think so. Still chopping down tress, but one less step to get to the charcoal.. Agreed - 2x2 trees are great (jungle, spruce, or dark oak), along with the lumber axe. Doesn't take long at all.

Golems work wonderfully, they just harvest, you'll need another to gather.

Cactus crops drop dye, not the cactus item, which is what I want to turn into slime via alchemy catalyst.. or am I missing some way to get cactus the item? (Or another way to get slime balls..)

Plant the cross crops on sand.

Once you have that first bar of iron, make flint & steel, build a portal with obsidian from the vat, find a fortress for blaze rods, kill some pigmen for gold along the way, and make that alchemy catalyst at your leisure. Use any leftover gold for smeltery casts!

The quest opens up before that - do you have the runic altar? Awesome, exactly what I needed. Blood Magic is still way off.. :)

Anyone doing lava generation? Best I've worked out is fire essence + buckets in auto workbench -> lava bucket -> crucible furnace -> lava out, recycle buckets back to workbench. Is there a better way to get the lava bucket into liquid lava form, or a way to make lava prior to the fire essence...

A clayconia (reward for an early quest in Chapter 3) will turn sand placed nearby into clay, also oceans (be sure to have a snorkel).

Did you type in 'regrowth' as the 3rd party pack code?
