This is actually a pretty common system on forums, it prevents edit trolling. You could always contact a moderator if you really need something edited.

There's always a place to request another activation link (in case the first didn't come through), perhaps try requesting a new one and see if that works?

If Gideon proves correct, it could be that they didn't think it worth making an apology when it's so close (within two days, a day in certain time zones I think).

It might be a security feature built into Xenforo, to literally have the DoB unchangeable. Or, perhaps it's FTB policy to never change that for some reason. Regardless, if Vaut and Jaded both couldn't help you, then the time has come for @Captainnana !
