Try to get another encounter. If it's another Cubone just catch it and train it till level 15. Otherwise just say what it is and I'll decide whether to train or feint or put-up-for-adoption from there.

It happened when I decided to catch and put a Cubone I encountered up for adoption. Presumably to consolidate my adoption with the already existing adoptions Tord has up.
