Interesting bug in the current (as of yesterday) update of Thaumcraft. I can't throw salus mundus on the vanilla crafting table but I can throw it on the TiCo crafting table.

A couple weeks ago there was 1 specific bad update of forge, but I think you are having a different problem. My best guess is that there is at least 1 mod in the pack that did not keep up with the forge updates and had something break compatibility.
