As alluded to above, a pair of tesseracts is great, it elimates the need for you to carry loads of fuel to a faraway dig site. To explain further, at your quarry site all you need is the quarry itself and a tesseract. Plonk the tess on top of the quarry and set it to receive power/send items...

My own lack of attention to what i'm doing. It took me an evening to scrounge up 8 tungsten, enough for my first gas turbine. Only I wasn't watching what I was doing so I ended up making two compound compressors instead of one compressor and one compound turbine. Oh well, back to the extractor :(

Why does the last thing you're waiting for always take forever? I've finally got my extractor running (slowly) and i'm grinding up iron ore just to get the tungsten I need to make a Gas Turbine. Need 8, have 7. The last one is taking aaaaages.

Pulse jet furnace stabilises at 873 degrees when run in the nether with a couple of Gasoline engines and a pair of 16:1 gearboxes. I was worried it might go over 1000 and exploed, but looks like I can use it safely enough until I need to overheat it with Oxygen...

A fractionation unit can be powered with a single gasoline engine and a 16:1 gearbox. Or you can add a second gearbox inline and run it faster. Turns out i've been hugely over-powering the thing all this time...DOH

Does the oldschool Forestry Multifarm use player block placing mechanics? As in, I can't place water with a bucket in the nether...but does the same apply to the Multifarm when it creates source blocks for irrigation?

Really? It seems to be moving a LOT slower through obsidian than it does through netherrack

Only downside to the above...once the blood hits the lava sea, the quarry ends up having to chew through SO MUCH OBSIDIAN. It takes aaaaages. Think a surface area of 3844 obsidian blocks multiplied by however deep the bloody thing is...

A trickle becomes a torrent: Four buckets of blood strategically placed within my quarry site at the roof of the nether. At least it'll be easy to clean up after :3
