    The only quest with AE2 atm is the seeds quest, which unlocks at 70 rep along the tech line, iirc. If you're just using it for storage, you shouldn't even need a controller, which are only used for if you're making a large system, like storage bus-ing barrels or getting auto-crafting going.

    Wrong quest. It should be after the distillery one. As for where to get cobwebs, 8 string in a spinning wheel from witchery. If you're not to dragonstone yet, simply put, you can't get into thaumcraft, because an attuned stone is required for the distillery.

    They tequire a redstone signal now, I recommend a lever as a redstone torch can set the gas alight.

    Baconus, as for your third one, there's pros and cons to telling people what's coming. The cons, however, outweigh the pros. Mainly, if you tell everyone exactly what you're planning and everything can't be done perfectly, then people start to complain that you didn't give them what you offered...

    Already said he won't add one in standard. There's the atlas from Bibliocraft if you are fine using that and you are also most welcome to add in a minimap yourself. But TPL has said that he won't add it in. My suggestion, fall in love with f3 or use one of my previous stated methods.

    The only flower I've found that needs a view of the sky is the dayblooms. You can actually use nightshades underground (unless that's been fixed since 0.7.2) which is how I stayed underground for so long at the start (didn't come above ground until I had the 4 elemental essence seeds).

    Improved chests also don't like chunk borders. Just had a few crashes because I accessed a double improved chest on a border.

    Literally right off of my main island, generated in 0.7.2. Chunk had been loaded but never had a reason to come out this far (the ridge is blocking my sight from the mainland) until looking for coven witches. So yeah, they do spawn. :p Just keep praying to RNGesus.

    Thinking about it, the ethereal wall from witching gadgets can have a glass texture and, with a carpenter's pressure plate set to only players, is functionally exactly like ethereal glass, provided you step on the pressure plate.

    Just had a brainstorm. You can automate garlic with a use golem putting down cropsticks, a golem planting a single garlic, and a BC harvest robot coming around and breaking the plants once they've reached the end of a snaking path.

    Well then, if this is for other players, I'd like to note that mana and alfglass don't require silk touch or the vitreous pickaxe to pick up. They drop as items when breaking by hand. Figured that one out after 1.5~ mana tablets worth...
