Sounds like you changed modpack.
You can also see which one you used the other day by opening the FTB folder. It creates a new folder for each modpack, with the name of the pack.
I think you're forgetting that it still doesn't matter.
As of several YEARS ago, it was easy after just a short time to get out of resource scarcity. There are so many things out there that make INFINITE amounts of resources for free or even just less than the cost to produce them, that it...
Make sure you're ready though. There have been a number of major changes, such as most everything now requiring sizable amounts of lubricant.( including said magnetostatics )
Theres also been a lot of nice additions though.
It's not that hard to build a fusion reactor, and really...the extractor doesn't help a whole lot. Yes, you'll use quite a lot of iron...but the wool is crazy.
In total I think I quarried out about 300 chunks ( 3 QuarryPlus quarries, and 3 regular Quarries ), with about 1/3 of it going through...
Still didn't really provide any information. What version of Java DO you have? 32-bit or 64-bit? What about all of the other stuff I asked for?
I hate to be rude, but you just aren't giving us anything to work on. You basically walked into a car mechanic and said "My car's not working." then...
Actually, to an extent, that's what FTB already does.
When you click on the "Edit Modpack" button, it gives you a list of mods to check and uncheck.
The only difference is that instead of having EVERY mod ( which would put the download into the gigabytes ), they are still curated experiences...
I was actually thinking similarly. It seemed to read like someone who read his "What NOT to do." and specifically did those things. I noticed a fair bit of correlation because I had just been reading those stories for a bit of humor and horror. ( One would have hoped that the technicality and...
Past and present modpacks disagree. The interest of the person designing the modpacks is what determines the mods in it. Monster for example has tons of mods that don't fall under that.
Then there's Horizons. Specifically designed to showcase some of the less popular mods.
Cuprite contains...
A screenshot or something more detailed might help to know exactly what's going on, but there's a lot you can do.
If it's 2 ducts connecting that shouldn't, put a microblock Cover between them.
You can also put a Servo in them, then set the filters to allow or not certain items. ( Note this is...
10x is still a lot less than infinite though.
Unless they are running it at 512 MW, which is quite a bit, they are doing it wrong and massively slowing it down.
Except that isn't what we see.
Consider a couple simple examples: Blaze rod duplication, Netherrack -> Magma Crucible -> Magmatic...
Well, seeing as I designed the same thing ( though a little different than Padfoote did ), take my word when I say you pay for going that route.
Processing time for example is over 2.5 MINTUES per ore. Not to mention requiring some sort of configurable gearing system ( Either CVT, swapping...
Ok, thanks for telling us.
If you would actually like some help with this though, you will want to provide us with at least some basic information. Your computer specs, specific packs, java settings, RAM allocation, crash reports, forge logs, etc.
I agree, and the whole thing is further made moot by pretty much everything being easily made renewable.
If I ever get around to it, I plan on making a modpack, config, and minetweaker all based around removing as much as possible from being renewable, with a few exceptions such as trees or...
Volume control would be amazing. I have to use one on fans, but I let most everything else run too. ( 8 fans gets REALLY loud. )
As for number one: Don't leave them in plain sight then. There's a million different ways to hide things.
