Just a few questions before I commit to FTB.

For the most part, most of them use their powers to limit your speech, but nothing more. They have a tendency to negatively respond to anything that is outside of FTB, so dont' mention things like ATB, etc. It's a great community, mostly because they ask that we say so, so that is what I am...

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

It would cause less load than constantly unloading, then reloading chunks. I'm sure that's more of a dynamic load. If you already have to render the block breaking, might as well keep the chunks loaded while you are at it.

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

Aren't chunks that are loaded refreshed every tick, regardless of what's going on?

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

general { # Set to false to disable various sounds and particle effects, such as when a block is harvested. B: PlaySounds=true Ah, that's the one. PlaySounds was the keyword. Tried sounds, noises, etc.

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

Where is the config for harvester sound? I only found the recipe override and energy cost options in the common config. The client config has less than a page of configs.

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

If you are using fertilizer, ender IO might be comparable, if it is true that they drain continuously and not per action. The way you've described it, there is no disadvantage to using MFR over ender IO, where as vice versa there is the energy efficiency problem.

    Network Server vs Local Server

Hmm. Doesn't your computer still have to process everything, aside from loading the world? From my experience I do get substantially better performance SSP, than on SMP.

    Emerald Smeltery Farm in 1.7.10?

The best option would be to obtain a bucket of blood, then add that to the black/white list of an ender IO fluid conduit output. The blacklisted side would be into a basin, and the whitelisted side would lead back into the smeltery. It is possible to pipe liquids back into the smeltery.

Is it better to play SSP on a server?

He's only playing with one other. I don't think they should 24/7.

Is it better to play SSP on a server?

If you are capable of hosting your own server, that would give you a great amount control over the server. Increasing performance, etc. can be an ad hoc process, given you have the funds. SMP is meant to build community, so if you are only looking to play with your friend, and ignore everything...

WARDED BLOCKS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE INVINCIBLE OKAY?

DW20 and the paradox of choice

It's more that BC and IC2 are the "OG" mods of modded MC. TE, Ender IO, etc. all benefit from seeing how successful a mod is when it includes ore doubling, logistics, upgrading, energy production, and to a lesser extent - armour/tools. Though, I've only played since 1.4.7. Back in those days...

    Poll: RFTools Dimension Builder Penalties

Meh. Mystcraft control varies so much in the minds of everybody, which is reflected in SMP server rules. I'd say, give this as much flexibility as you see Mystcraft providing and let the community use it however they want. Some people enjoy the SMP feel, while being able to exploit dimension...
