Just watch out when you want to build tanks and have the same area lit by WLs already. Its invisible lightblocks can cause problems with the "Am I a working multiblock structure, yet?" functions of RailCraft/XyCraft tanks.

It does not. Basically, its name is somethingsomethingswamp but it does not "tick off" the 'okay' for slime spawns. Apart of that: Slime-Chunks still do exist. Though they're usually not easy to find without outside help, like a minimap or similar.

Apart from what apemanzilla said, it could also be a overly huge amount of nigh invisible light-updates. As an example I myself experienced: the electrolytic separators from Mekanism do tend to flicker when they run out of power. Put 20 of 'em in a row and have 2 or 3 be powerless, you will not...
