If using jab a barrels there's a void upgrade that will delete items after the barrel becomes full. And if you think 4096 of one item isn't enough you can expand that by upgrading the space then once it fills up again will delete the items after full with void upgrade

Use a wrench to make the pipe next to the chest dense. And not touching a barrel. Dense means it will act as if the chest was 1000 blocks away and cause items to go into the barrels first before they go to the overflow chest

well i went looking and magical biomes is what they spawn in and the magical forest from twilight counts and i finally was able to find one hive after about an hour looking and too infernal hives which i thought was only in the nether but always go for the redstone. thanks for the help @rhn

You can use the yeti wrench to force a connection similar to how red net cables work with machines when it doesn't connect automatically

you could use ehteral blooms to hold the taint at bay but still be there and live very close to the taint biome so wand recharge is a walk in the taint and back. thats what i have done so that my base never became tainted but easy access to tainted lands for "fun"

Thanks I go through configs a lot to make things to my liking and since 1.2.5 to 1.7.10 many many packs remade and custom its hard to remember all the configs especially when they add new features with every update and its forever changing
