So I'm having a weird issue. Blocks seem to have different types of themselves. These aren't just mod blocks, they're vanilla too. I thought it was an issue with BC because I was getting it with auto crafting tables, but now I'm getting it just by digging dirt.

The problem is this: I will have two stacks of dirt (or whatever item) in my inventory. One has 9 dirt, one has 12 dirt. They don't stack together. They don't have a different item ID number or meta data. It's just regular old dirt I dug out of the ground.

Has anyone else has this? Any idea what's wrong or how to fix it?
Thanks!

If the ID and metadata are the same, then one of the blocks must have a different NBT data that's causing it to not stack properly. However, I couldn't say what might cause or be able to fix it.

If you place the blocks down, then dig them up again, do they still not stack properly? Also, what did you use to dig them- could that have something to do with it?
