    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

Ahhhhh, my misunderstanding, there was a reason there was no rf/t lol. My days of building giant banks of multiple generators is over lol. That's a lot of crafting, running ducts etc to feed them, and more work maintaining the fuel sources, especially quirky tree farms {steves carts ugh lol)...

Trying to automate making processors for expanding my ME system

As posted the inscriber is side oriented. Facing the front: Left, top and bottom are inputs, right is output, power from the rear. I use import and export buses and fluix cable for everything including power. I make two towers, one with presses and one crafting the processors. All connected...

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

What? A Stirling produces 16-80 THOUSAND rf/t? I think you may want to drop the "k" :p

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

I couldn't remember the actual power output so I built a single fuel rod (single block) reactor. It's pretty cheap. It puts out between 200-260 rf/t depending on how much fuel is in the rod and uses fuel at a rate of .18 mb/t. This is a 3x3x3 reactor. This can be built very, very early. It...

    Mining.

Yep, pretty much the same here. Once you get there, upgraded ender quarries mining out an area as big as you care to travel to set the markers is a guaranteed no maintenance over abundance of pretty much everything. I've yet to figure out what to use the millions of ingots for anyway other than...

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

Generators have an advantage over Big Reactors? :O There is no way you are going to compete with Big Reactors for sheer power with generators. I can fit a passive un-cooled reactor in a 9x9x9 space with access to sides and top that will put out over 2K rf/t and it's pretty cheap to build. Not a...

    Mining.

You know, I haven't used turtles in a long time, perhaps I have been overlooking their early game advantage. I usually go for a hammer then a BC quarry. I can see using a turtle to tunnel in one place while I'm mining in another with the hammer. Digging with a turtle is too frustrating for me...

    Draconic flight

Also, considering the purpose of the Draconic armor and weapons is to fight the Chaos Guardian, you will realize just how woefully underpowered they are when you take a hit from one of those. :D

    Draconic flight

Considering you need nether stars and either mine an extremely long time in over world or go to the end to get enough draconium for just the first tier of armor, the massive raw total RF cost and number of nether stars required for Draconic armor and weapons, I don't see how that mod is OP.

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

While the XU (I like your abbreviation) is more efficient, I think the ability to get 20rf/t from the single IO vs the 5rf/t from XU is worth the trade-off when you look at crafting cost, time and logistics of four machines vs one, particularly since I wont be using them for very long. My early...

    Draconic flight

Is there a way to change the setting's of the flight mechanic so that when you land you can walk up stairs and through doorways etc? I'm spending a lot of time bumping in to things trying to get through openings since I started using the Draconic chestplate. I can't seem to find even a way to...

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

Good call on the ender IO sterling, that one had escaped me. 20 rf/t is definitely a step up and I tested direct connect to a machine, gtg. Also, once buffer is full it stops burning fuel. Me likey a lot. Vanilla hoppers definitely make a good early game way to feed things, also to feed...

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

Also, couple tips, sometimes for whatever reason yellorite will process as uranium. Two ways to deal with are, put uranium ingot in barrel that contains yellowium ingot, it will turn into yellorium. Or reprocess in pulverizer/redstone furnace. Another trick to feed reactor is connect cyanite...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

Latest Infinity has Portal Guns mod, and there are two dragons in The End. I am not referring to the islands created by Draconic, there were two on the main island. They nearly got me as I wasn't paying attention to my health, I was down to half a heart at one point, good thing I brought some...

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

Edit: My previous post was in fact referring to the Big Reactors mod. Should have clarified that.

If you could add one thing to any mod...?

Yes, that would be a really nice feature and avoid the need for a better early game AE/storage/crafting system that I was talking about earlier in this thread.

    Thermal Expansion Energy Production.

Yes, there is a much easier and practical early game power. A single core reactor is cheap, uses very little fuel, and will put out more than those 3 dynamos. It will run a long time on a few bars of yellorium. 3x3x3. I start with survival gens placed direct to the machine for initial ore...

System configurations that work best with minecraft ?

Interesting. In any event looks like im going back to 1.3, 1.5 is already using 4gigs at the start screen. Thats double what it was with 1.3.

System configurations that work best with minecraft ?

Interestingly, despite what I "allocate" to MC, it uses whatever it wants. Example, I have allocated 3gig in the launcher. I just had to force close Java from task manager because it was using 4.2gig running the latest version of Infinity that I had just downloaded and it stopped responding.

AE2 automation question and an existing sorting system

All of what you described is very easy to do using interfaces and busses and autocrafting. Yes you will want a dedicated crafting pulverizer and furnace, but they can each do several operations. However, you want to consider other operations being held up while another is being performed. Having...
