In my 1.7.10 beta build of basically the same mods as the unstable pack give or take some mods that I cannot find the chunk loading is not noticeably bad, FPS is amazing. In single player its horrible however it is the same as 1.6.4 so I cannot say anything about it. Overall I love the 1.7.10 mods.

In my 1.6.4 world I setup an OVERkill grower for magical crops with like 20-30 lamps of growth surrounding a 3x3 growth platform. I do not know how many lamps of growth are effective however my harvester constantly had work.

Hello I have been playing around building a 1.7.10 modpack I have everything working good however one thing that is driving me crazy is NEI shows the item name but not the mod the item came from... If anyone could tell me if this is just how it is now or how to fix it I would really appreciate...

Being a programmer I know first hand how this statement is so true lol. Personally I would rather mojang be working on things like multithreaded performance (1.8?) than seeing them add a million blocks to vanilla when mods are more than capable adding those type things.
