    OOoohhh I just updated to the 0.1.7 version from the github. The change in mass collection quests (don't know the chapter number) caught me by surprise, luckily I hadn't done that much yet. I really liked that the reputation was easily collected for quests I already completed. Off to play...

    Oh I know, I could easily export splinters from the ME system to a dedicated altar, but come on, its wood. I feel I should have to automate that :) Of course this is just my opinion.

    Yeah it is cheating, but I find the splinters to be tedious and it remains tedious even later on in the game. Thats pretty much my only gripe with the game. That and the amount of dirt you get from earth essence :)

    How are people dealing with early wand charging? I have 3 nodes as quest rewards, I still miss 2 aspects. Recharging from mob drops is terribly slow. I did bring a spawner back from the nether but blazes rarely drop aqua vis balls....

    I don't quite remember maybe it is a quest reward? Its a big help as the splinters are a bit of a nuisance :) Edit: There is a quest that on turning in a silverwood leaf gives 10 saplings (both greatwood and silverwood). Maybe one of the early thaumcraft quests gives the silverwood sapling...

    Try to quickly get greatwood. That turns into planks without the splinters.

    They are testing the update on the Mym servers. In a week or so the update will be pushed to other launchers.

    What are people doing for weak blood shards? On a regular night I don't see that many mobs and getting the shards feels annoyingly grindy. I am hoping that once I get my bound helmet with night vision it will be easier. I made the MFR mob spawner before I realized I needed mob essence so that...

    Holy **** Batman!! That recipe for a tough tool rod....... I was planning on making a lumber axe to chop down a massive (or rather MASSIVE) greatwood tree. Nope, just nope. :O

    That would be good, I can then prune chunks outside of my base. Otherwise I would deconstruct my entire base and store it in chests in the nether and the rebuild after the update :)

    Question about the terrain changes coming up in the new version. I really like the changes to the overworld (from the weekend test). Are there also going to be changes to the nether? I am considering how to migrate my world to new version (most likely MCEdit).

    Their zip file contains the curse profile, once installed you could move it over to the FTB launcher I guess.

    Logged on just now, can't open quest book (none of them). Quickly browsed through the recipes, haven't seen any changes yet, but then I didn't get far yet. Edit: I like the terrain gen changes. Stone pickaxe seems to silk-touch the red rock, which is fine, the bricks look cool

    Nope, works like a charm. You do need to be careful though, as with the night vision on, you don't see really see if you are in a well lit area. Of course there are items for that too :)

    You will need some experience levels (10 maybe?) as well I believe.

    I used steves factory manager in this pack to automate the reactor. You can also use vanilla redstone.

    That's the problem, it won't expand because its stuck on its current construction and the craftsman wont craft the item to continue...
