    The Thaumcraft 4.1 Experience

No. Keep as many items opposite each other as you can, just leave one pedestal empty. Set up a hopper with a spare item in pointing at each pedestal, and a dirt block to overwrite flux goo with plus a shovel to remove it with after. Add more candles, crystals, etc. for more stability. And make...

I think they should have 2.1 billion vacuous minus the number of items in them. FTFY. Hybrid trees shouldn't be used for anything. Finish the breeding process and get a symmetric genome before using the trees for anything. Grind up your coal and make diamonds with IC2 compressors, if you have...

Aether II FTB Unleashed, Compatibility Configs!

Oh, I know this one! To waste people's time and bandwidth with GIFs!

I don't think any "boss" mobs can be captured.

I didn't see that it was "resolved" - someone said it worked, someone else said it didn't work. Seeing it on a video finally proves it. Or was netmc talking about a different staff? I know nothing about staves.

    Hijackers and Necros

Never seen that before. I came up with the line for a roleplaying game a couple of years back. It's possible that the line from OOtS might have influenced me without my remembeting it.

Was that an attempt to derail the thread?(p.s. wĭnj )

    Hijackers and Necros

Remember the three "R"s: Reduce, Re-use, Re-animate. I find necro-whinging to be much more annoying than necro-posting. If you are annoyed by getting a notification about a pertinent and on-topic post to a thread that is a bit old, why do you think that I will be less annoyed by you posting an...

    Thaumcraft 4.1g: Infusion stability questions...

Of course. You're right, it's all about 180° rotational symmetry around the Y-axis.

    Thaumcraft 4.1g: Infusion stability questions...

That doesn't make sense. If a layer of candles under the alter contributes to stability, then surely it isn't checking the Y? If it were, then you'd need a matching layer of candles above the altar. Or, you could have one half under the altar, and the other half above the altar, and then they'd...

Ask a complex Question, get a long Answer

I think this thread is a really bad idea. If there's a subject that is going to take up a substantial amount of time, I want to select whether to invest that time, and a thread title is the way I do that. I will be unsubscribing from this thread, and will not be coming back, so if you post a...

Have you checked that the energy cells are outputting as much as you need? I think the default config is only to output a relatively small amount per connection. I made that mistake. Other than that, have you tried removing and replacing some of the cables?
  13. PhilHibbs

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Do you have more machines or cells than your cables can manage? For example, leadstone can only carry 80 RF/t, so if there's an energy cell down one path that is recharging, or a couple of machines running at full tilt, then machines down the other path might be starved of power until the cell...

    FTB Master Configs

Yes, and this thread is for the FTB master configs. Same thing. Pretty much. I suppose that does leave space for popular mods that aren't in the packs to be added, but I guess the closed 1.6 thread probably served that purpose as well. CMIIW.

    The Thaumcraft 4.1 Experience

I guess you can't please all the people all the time. I felt that the original pipe system was too good. It was perfect in every way, other than server performance. It completely out-classed golems as a solution. Now, you have pipes that need manual operation to open and close the valves, or...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I've never done it myself but I suspect that if you have a big enough production line to keep a constant supply of adult cows, the number of breeding cows required and the number of baby cows at any one time will be enormous. If, for example, you want 1 cow per 5 seconds, and it takes cows 5...

    FTB Master Configs

No. There was a thread for suggesting mods for 1.6 but it's been locked now. Maybe a new thread will be started once 1.7 packs become a reasonable prospect, but I don't think there are enough 1.7 mods yet to make that worthwhile.

    The Thaumcraft 4.1 Experience

I have always had jars around the outside walls of my Thaumcraft room, I know it causes golems to derp nowadays due to the decorations but I stick with that layout anyway because of tradition. Anyway I'm not using golems yet because I enjoy running around twiddling the knobs on my pipes. I...
