Reappearing blocks will not be eaten by a hungry node, so you can surround it or make a platform above it while still being able to access it by disappearing them which can be done with an autonomous activator. You can get reappearing blocks with a wand of equal trade.

I have a suggestion, to add the Steve's Factory Manager block IDs to the Thaumcraft.cfg Portable Hole blacklist. Making a hole through your Inventory Cables will ruin the workflows for any parts that become disconnected from the controller.

I've found it! It's my underground Mining Tree (Twilight Forest). It keeps stealing the Moonstone Blocks and exchanging them with stone.
