    It's designed to be used with conveyor belts. I think Buildcraft pipes work as well, but obvously that's not an option in CL.

    Direwolf20 did this in his latest Lets Play series. He had a computer that read the contents of a chest and displayed a menu of the mob names in the Safari Nets.

    Yeah, I setup a transfer pipe that runs from my mob farm all the way over to the other side, where it gets sorted into the barrel wall.

    VSWE's "midgame" design does pick them up instantly, there's only ever one entity on the ground per sifter, in fact it never hits the ground, it is picked up in mid-air.

    Is there an equivalent of "dense mode" for Transfer Pipes, or any other way to implement an overflow chest? I'm feeding the barrel wall from multiple directions, so I can't just put the overflow chest at "the far end".

    I usually make my capacitors and transistors in lots of 60. Any more than that and I get bored bonemealing seeds. I should have a go at automating that.

    Sure, I saw that suggestion, but ".inv" works for anything that SFM has this problem with, so I posted a generic solution.     I had exactly that problem. Some items just don't show up. 1. Get an Awkward Potion into your inventory 2. Put in ".inv" in the item search 3. The contents of your inventory will be displayed, where you can pick the Awkward Potion

    Because the world was created with vanilla minecraft and then copied across to FTB Lite 3. I guess, if I do get it to work, I should disable the retrogen of gold, iron, diamonds, and other vanilla ores. But getting it to work is the first step!

    There is no such file, but there is a ThermalExpansion-Ores.json file and a Vanilla.json that have similar settings, all set to true.

    I'm playing FTB Lite 3, how do I enable retrogen? I've turned on "ReplaceVanillaGeneration=true" and "RetroactiveOreGeneration=true" in CoFHCore.cfg but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Is some other mod doing the oregen?

    I hadn't noticed that - might be useful to hop in and cool off. I suspect that the Nether and the End are not supposed to play any part in this map, but the portal mechanic hasn't been disabled. I don't even know if there's a mod for that.
