No, unfortunately not. I had the same problem, specifically when it sets endermen on fire and they disappear. If you add a modifier like luck then it will prevent an incompatible modifier such as silky, but I don't think there's a modifier that's incompatible with fiery.

You can set the level emitters to emit a signal when the level is below, then no need for NOT gates. I did this a lot in my 1.5 world, and also in MF2. I assume it still works in AE2 but I haven't used that version yet.

You need to have connected to Mojang at least once before you can play offline. So if your PC absolutely cannot connect to the internet at all, you're out of luck. You might be able to figure out where it stores the "yes I have connected once" information and copy it from one PC to another, but...

The way I always got diamonds if I had IC2 was to macerate coal and compress it into chunks with flint and obsidian. One stack of coal makes a diamond, I think. Not sure how you'll get the coal if you're not mining, charcoal can't be used instead.

XU is instant transportation, so it has feature 1, and as a bonus it implements limited backstuffing. That's a bit of an odd decision, to implement a flaw that is entirely unnecessary. I guess it's ok, working around the flaws in a system can be fun.

Why does it matter whether it's FTB or third party?

It's just occurred to me that golems do not quite fit this model - they can get stuck holding an item, but that isn't really backstuffing and it isn't infinite. I guess they aren't really an item transport method, they just have some limited item transport features.
