There is no audio so I'm not sure what you are trying to suggest we do to fix the java 'lag and crashes'

Exactly. Each update to minecraft means an update to the mods. There is an exception for 1.4.7 in that 1.4.6 mods will usually work with it as well if you cannot find 1.4.7 versions.

Something is blocking the launcher from accessing the internet. Check your AV and Firewall settings to see if they are blocking it.

Okay this one is probably because of the NEIpluginsRedPower in the mods folder. Disable that and it should work. Any further error you might need someone else to help.
