Please note that I am on a Mac:

Upon downloading the FTB Launcher, it only supplies me with a .jar file that refuses to stay in my dock. Whenever I attempt to reopen FTB, I either have to search through my downloads to find this .jar file or even have to completely re-download it. Is anyone aware of an actual app for the Launcher that can easily launch FTB from the dock?

I am not very familiar with MacOS, but the jar is the launcher. Place it in a folder on your desktop and open the jar from the folder. Check that the 'Install folder...' under the options tab once you get it started is the same path the folder is on your desktop. The launcher, jar, will install FTB and minecraft into that folder. When you want to start the launcher open the folder and then the jar.

That's exactly my current set up for FTB, but it still does not resolve my issue, as this does not create an actual application for the launcher that can be used directly from the dock. Not to bring up our rival here, but the Technic Launcher is a great example for what I am looking for in terms of FTB, as opposed to a little .jar file.
