    If you ever want to just roll your own perfect modpack and want help making that a feasible reality, let me know. I'm happy to help you get that sorted. I've recently rolled my face in modpack maintenance so I can pretty much cover how to do it and to some extent how to automate it.

    Can TE regenerate into existing chunks the way Thaumcraft can, now? I didn't notice that in the configs! You may like: Underground Biomes. Although the marble from UB looks like it's very cheap, low-rent kinda marble.

    I wanted a boat to work on it so bad if it really floated. Imagine using ladders to constrain the flow and then sailing down a floating, glowing canal through the sky. It's a scene right out of a Miyazaki film.

    Why would I care? And why should FTB wait? DW20 and the Mindcrack folks can if they want, but why should FTB? Why not push to 1.5 and add Rp2 if/when it finishes its update cycle. All you're doing is making a the argument that the 1.5 jump should happen stronger, not weaker.

    Almost every mod we care about is updated or has testing build available. Check the status matrix OmegaPython maintains. TE is in fact ready now, it seems.

    Just remember that every time we rely on closed-source mods we set ourselves up for this problem on big updates. Every time. Also: I wish liquid voids worked right. They would be so much cooler if they did.

    I can speak with confidence on this: several awesome redstone logic mods are in the works. Immibis has reasonable replacements for tubes (as does Thaumcraft and Applied Energistics).

    Really? Frames and easier redstone wire are that valuable to you? All of TE, IC2, GT, AE are like... not enough? Ender storage and Railcraft? Thaumcraft and (soon) Ars Magica? Factorization? Seems pretty unreasonable, man. You can have (better) microblocks and awesome inventory management...

    For the record I, keep trying to get powercraft to work in the various packs I maintain and it keeps loading in the logs but like... not injecting recipes. I consider myself pretty good at maintaining modpacks now, and I'm at a loss for what to do about it.
