    Definitely is. You can also put together a lower-tier generator from advanced generators fairly easily (bronze is 200rf/t per turbine) and easily upgrade it later. You even get most of the resources back from the lower tier turbines, so if you're like me you can use all that bronze for bees.

    The steam dynamos do the same thing once they're past being useful. I mean, I suppose you could throw in a bunch of augments so they output 640 rf/tick, but I'd rather just use something better than have to set up a system to keep them full of charcoal for such a minuscule amount of power...

    Yes, but presumably that's a bug. Even if it's not, it feels like cheating. Of course, my current instance doesn't have Iguana Tweaks (normally I don't even have TiC, but I wanted to work on my building skills so I put together an "easy mode" modpack for myself.)

    You have to make the entire tool out of magical wood to get 11 modifiers. I've been using it to make unbreakable tools for Progressive Automation (and a Beheading X scythe to kill wither skellies...)

    I learned that you can see the state of pressure plates even when you can't see the entities causing them to change. I had a pretty typical endoflame feeding set up with a pressure plate and an open crate/hopper combo, and as I was walking through my base I noticed the pressure plate going up...

    I think it might be a manasteel sword. When you rename it in an anvil to a certain name (that I don't remember, but it's from some anime) it gets a new model that looks at least similar to that.

    Awesome, thanks. I'd have looked in a test world, but it's kind of hard to test generation of structures that are already fairly difficult to find.

    Bah, that's what I get for not reading all the changelogs and relying on previous behavior. Now I definitely need a better way to have access to them (I've found 2 now!) Anyway...anyone know about the config option? That was the only one I saw that seemed to have to do with non-Overworld...

    It's been there for several versions. Lava and (I think) fire will cause the jetpack to explode unless you have cooling fins on it. You can also add glider wings and a thrust booster (which I've never done because it requires a gas turbine.)

    I don't have any pictures of it, and I'm not playing a pack with Mekanism at the moment, but I just had an Ender Chest with wheat and seeds going into a Crusher on one side of the Pressurized Reaction Chamber, an Electrolytic Seperator on the other, a Mek pump supplying water through the bottom...

    Have you tried using the gas intake for advanced generators? Or is the version in Horizons so old it doesn't have that? Anyway, I'd suggest using Liquid Ethylene. Super easy to make and gives you lots of power.

    Just out of curiosity, what's the mod that adds all the super annoying noises (when switching items in the hotbar, or screaming when on fire, etc.) and how do I turn them off?

    GT5 is for 1.7, and GT5U (an approved but unofficial fork that added in a bunch of the end game stuff from earlier GT that didn't get into GT5, such as 3 tiers of fusion reactors) is used in at least a couple of modpacks (including Infitech 2, a 3rd-party pack on the FTB launcher.)

    Dealing with the RotaryCraft XP

    It pops xp out of the furnaces just from smelting, so the vanilla hopper wouldn't help. But as mentioned, the vacuum hopper works wonders. Just make sure there's somewhere for the liquid xp to go, or you'll still end up with xp orbs everywhere.

    While I haven't tried it in this pack, with Pam's you can get jellyfish when fishing, which if placed in a crafting grid turn into slimeballs. It's how I've gotten slimeballs relatively painlessly in other packs (though it would be a pain if you need a lot.) Not sure if fishing golems can get...
