What to do with extra armor lying around? -Unleashed

The TiC smeltery is able to melt them down only works on undamaged items but it is still a way to gain from something that is otherwise useless.

So rumors are GregT is now an IC2 dev

Holy shit authors are PEOPLE????? totally blown my mind there........ Sorry couldn't resist, I mean it's pretty much a given that mod authors will have different takes on how things should be and how to interact (or not) with the end users, though I do think more than a few need a bit of a...

Is there a way to use nether quartz as certus quartz for AE?

Considering both Nether Quartz and Certus Quartz (both item and dust) are used in some recipes and not interchangeably I doubt it.

    A cool mod...

Not requiring power is a downside to me since it breaks what was part of the fun of RP2 frame machines specifically tunnel bores, finding a creative solution for how to power the motors, this seems too easy really. It's basically frames reduced to the ease and lack of interaction of a quarry...

How do you charge the Adv Jetpack & Nanosuits ect?

Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, High Voltage and Multi-Functional Electric storage unit. The IC2 wiki is here, links at the bottom of the page to all items\blocks in IC2, the info may be a bit out of date in some cases but is overall pretty good IC2 Wiki.

How do you charge the Adv Jetpack & Nanosuits ect?

They are a higher tier so require a higher tier charging source, basically an MFE or MFSU, I think everything will charge in an MFE.

Advanced diamond drill: fortune III or silk touch?

With Gregtech I used to use a Diamond Jackhammer (this thing treats normal stone the way a eff 4 diamond pick treats netherrack and won't touch ores)\silk touch diamond pick\fortune pickaxe of the core and the MPS powerfist for a shovel and weapon. Now with TiC I use an ardite handled, cobalt...

    OP Items

I prefer to mine by hand, it's a nice soothing treasure hunt. Mind you the TiC Hammer and easy availability of ridiculously high speed and extreme durability on said hammer makes hand mining more like a manual tunnel bore, that is actually faster than the automated ones and you can fortune those...

    A whole new world.

The lava isn't hard to avoid\work around but it does slow you down considerably (no more mining through the nether at almost a sprint), I typically don't bother with the Nether until I have an alumite pick and by that stage I'm mining with a Hammer so I keep a stack of blocks next to it.

    A whole new world.

I used to do just stone tools in the Nether on the first night usually, bit of Ghast tennis, avoid whacking a piggyman and the Nether was fairly safe, now I'm getting seriously arachnophobic. Heatscar spiders will scar you for life or at least the big ones will...set you on fire, more health...

So rumors are GregT is now an IC2 dev

GregoriousT has a lot of good ideas and they are implemented well in GregTech both from a gameplay perspective and a coding perspective. What I can see this doing for IC2 would be improving base IC2. There are several bugs which have been around since forever, GregT has fixes for them that were...

    Farms

And also surprisingly effective for anything you don't need bulk amounts of, they don't keep up so well with fermenters etc without running multiple golems (with speed and specs on the wood, the range on the straw golems is insane enough as it is but they do need Bow Ties since they have to be...

    OP Items

Modular Powersuits is imo horrifically OP without GT recipes (sure it uses a lot of resources but it also negates so much that otherwise would cost resources that it's pretty cheap overall), you can easily become immune to almost all damage, lava is a nice swim with enough heatsink (apart from...

    Automating oreberries?

Golems are also not stupid they do not walk into the bush to harvest if there is not a valid standing location on the top or at least I haven't had to replace either of the golems in my "xp farm" which has 2 tiers of essence bushes with slab walkways so the little guys can get up there.

    Automating oreberries?

Put a block above the bush, golems can't walk into them then (and neither can you).

Any good Red power alloy wire replacements?

Project Red Has logic, microblocks, red alloy wire and a few other bits and pieces. Haven't used the logic yet but the wire is a direct replacement of red alloy wire down to the recipe and the microblocks are flawless fewer versions but who did use the anti-covers anyway?? but they are not in...

    Steam oven lagging?

I was getting horrific lagspikes with the Railcraft sounds enabled turned them off, no more problem. Vanilla rain is able to slow my framerate if I don't shut it up. Minecraft seems to be somewhat poor at handling sound. At least in 32 bit Java, possibly an update to LWJGL may help. (nope...

How REAL men use steam boilers

What happens if you drain steam into the casting basin? Guessing it doesn't work but casting clouds would be rather interesting lol.

    Efficient EU Production?

The only problem with mass Generators is packet lag\item lag I had 45 odd setup with a sawmill turning wood from a SC2 treefarm into planks, whenever it kicked on due to a powerdrain somewhere in the system I could watch my framerate drop that was even before the items started flowing around...

    XyCraft

The theme is ultra hightech past IC2 levels into the far future realm style, I read somewhere that the fiction\background method for powering his multitool is nanotech, the tanks are an energyfield surrounding common blocks and the energynet itself is lasers an shit, so yeah far future manga...
