I have a bunch of armor and weapons that I don't need. Stuff from killing the lich and raiding the twilight forest, etc. I was wondering if there was anything I can do to get rid of it that is pretty efficient. Any suggestions mates?

Make armor stands and place them in it. :p Or use Force Rod to turn them back into their base material. Why? Because you can.

You can force rod armor into its base materials? That would be great. I was also looking at the disenchanter because some of this stuff has pretty nice enchants like prot 4 and whatnot.

If you are playing the Unleashed pack, there's a lot of other options that you might want to explore. I've only recently discovered the awesomeness of sucker punching stuffs to death in my Force Armor.

Yup. Force Rod will give you back materials when zapped on tools, armor, and buckets. In fact, this was specifically because the author wanted something to do with "loot trash" like Thaumium Hoes and other tools/armor you get as loot that you'll never actually use.

That is awesome! Thanks for the information!

Also, MFR has a pretty nice Dis-enchanter

Takes in power, a book and your enchanted item as input. Puts a random enchantment on a book, damages the item slightly too.

I've used the Armor loot from the Twilight Forest in my Thaumcraft research. Pretty handy in that regard.

I know in 1.4.7 in Ultimate you could cook them back into ingots, or grind them into powders. Seems to be a GregTech thing. I know it was an easy way to get steel. Might be the same in 1.5.2

A base full of weapons is cooler than a base not full of weapons, and BiblioCraft gives you some good options to display it.

Doing that also has some gameplay uses. Need a pick or a spare sword right now? Don't root around in chests, just grab it off the wall. A state of armed paranoia is completely logical and not insane at all in the world of Minecraft so just go wild.

Oh, and Dartcraft has this nifty item called a force pipe that can be used to automate transmuting items back into ingots, if you run out of space.

The TiC smeltery is able to melt them down only works on undamaged items but it is still a way to gain from something that is otherwise useless.

Force Rods can transmute stuffs even at 1 durability. But they do not refund the whole thing, stuffs like pickaxes only nets you 2 ingots instead of the 3 used to craft them.

As another matter Twilight Forest adds something to do with the loot itself, namely the uncrafting table, allowing you to either retrieve the materials from something, or replace the materials (while keeping enchantments).
