assuming you have the power for it, that extractor will run 1 tick for each of the 4 stages. if all you have is a gasoline engine, its slow as molasses in winter. 5x multiplication, and bonus items on some ores. its lava smeltery will run 18 items at a time. IC2 induction furnace is faster though.

Id go for something modern industrial, especially if going with resonant energy cell towers or IO banks. the striped factory blocks from chisel make a good "danger" floor. play around, find what block combos look best to you for a modern industrial look.

slap silk touch on it, stick it next to a quarryplus, and it will automatically remove liquids the quarry touches. actually unsure about the silk touch though, like you mentioned, theres not much documentation on it.
