I've always loved cross-platform stuff. And I don't think it would be that much of a disadvantage. PC players use controllers sometimes, and console players have auto-aim type deals. Everything works out.

I doubt you'd need to make a $4000 gaming rig for something like that. You likely already have the minimum processor, unless your computer is really old, so you'd really just have to grab a new graphics card. Heck, even I could run BF4 on minimum, and I'm using a 3 or 4 year old Mac.

Some form of liquid would probably help too. After all, it's still a mob, it can't disobey physics like a real phantom might. It might give you the extra second or two needed to hit the guy a couple of times.

Yep. The only thing more insane is that thread necro. It is possible to go the nether without the blast furnace. GT is good about letting you melt all the random steel junk you find. And alternative firestarters exist as well.
