Not exactly... The easy answer though is almost anything "human made" (i.e. outside of standard world gen) with the exception of stone brick and stairs, and counterintuitively chests. In other words, torches, wood planks, everything cobblestone (including stairs), all slabs, all tool tables...

There are two pretty huge holes in that getting started guide though... (other than the wood nerf that means you need twice as much to start.) First, you can no longer craft torches with just rubber. And second, you can no longer make charcoal from logs. Those two combined means it is MUCH...

Fire charge? I don't remember what drops them, but I've got a few already. Fun fact, in vanilla you can craft the fire charge from mob drops in the nether. Helpful if your portal gets hit by a ghast and you lose your Flint and steel.

Is Natura barley bugged or intentionally disabled? NEI doesn't show any uses, and putting it in a crafting grid (with or without a mortar and pestle) doesn't craft anything.

Apatite crafts into fertilizer which you can then put into the MFR fertilizer to speed up plant growth. The other two I never found a real use for.

It sounds like 600 is the right number, but I don't know if that's intentional. TiC tools have been doing the same thing in the Blood and Bones pack where the actual XP requirement doesn't show correctly until you use it, but once it updates that's what it takes to level it.
