i like all mods but tinkers construct,mariculture,mekanism and railcraft are my favorites!!! :D tic gives you ability to customize your tools , mariculture adds lots of sea content , mekanism is very good tech mod with tons of posibilityes and railcraft is just nice and classy :) .

it only takes loaded chunks .... if you are in your animal farm and do /xu_killliving every mob will vanish and other mobs that are not loaded will be safe. at least my villagers survived because it was like 800m away.

they are not that rare , at least in my world.and if you mine them with fortune 3 pick you get 8-12 crystals per crystal 'block'.

this is an okay pc for ftb.there should not be problems.

Use TC wand with exchange(?) foci and replace all dirt with grass blocks.

If you are server owner(it seems that you are)add mod called 'Biome wands' an convert that ugly land to any biome you want. ;)

Yeah biomes reset to plains when you remove biome mod or if biome is missing .

Maybe that was garden biome? Because it spawns tall grass block and and giant flowers . If it was Origin Valley there would be some oak pillars.? Dunno...
