There should be a config that allows you to put in the ID of a block that you can't place portals on, I believe. Also, I don't think you place portals on end stone. I haven't tried it myself, but I saw someone else try.

On the Mindcrack server, someone made a machine with a bunch of water pumps and recyclers doing something. The recyclers were causing so many errors it was making log files into the Gigabytes and lagging the entire server.

The Endermen must think you're Direwolf and are trying to get revenge on him. I haven't had any problems with Endermen moving blocks.

Same thing was happening to me. After a ton of mining manually and with turtles, I found about 5 diamonds over a week. I then moved out 1000 blocks and I have 30 diamonds without any fortune/silk touch or anything over a couple days. I'm guessing I was just unlucky.

Put it on a tool with Repair and Unbreaking if you can manage one. I have one, and after a day of mining it's still at 100% durability.
