You could use the Buildcraft pump instead, that's what I switched to. You can still power it with the lava generator.

Something to note. If you remove and readd a mod that you were keeping items from that mod in a storage drawer you cannot remove those drawers or reuse them Edit: Tiny TNT does the trick

Strange crash has been happening consistently when attempting to open my world. I tried redownloading the pack and loaded a backup but I'm not sure what the issue is. I updated from 1.1.15 to 1.1.17 and now I cannot play. Here's the crash report: http://pastebin.com/H1Y1FiBw

Yea, it's really endgame in the Botania tree. You have to kill a wither to get a beacon to summon a boss that you have to kill. The boss drops enough to make two spawner movers. I have a six spawner setup at my base and now I get tons of iron and steel from melting armour.

This modpack has taught me how awesome Steve's Carts is. I can't get enough.

I have a fortune 2 Hammer that gets me stacks of smashed ores per harvest. It could be that hotfix Karma gave you because he said he was going to tweak the drop rates. On top of that it may be a conflict with veinminer and ex nahilo.

Also a nice way to have all of these on you at once is to use a Golden Bag of holding. You can even dye them now to tell them apart.

A very brief trip to the nether was how I got my first mushrooms. Really easy because they're everywhere you just have to be able to run fast enough.

All recipes for Bonatia items are in the book from the mod. You can get the book from one of the Getting Started Quests. NEI doesn't show the recipe because you don't craft it in any crafting item like a furnace or crafting table.

You can throw brown mushroom in a mana pool and use the seed you get from that and right click on dirt. To get the first mushroom you can either go into a dungeon or do a quick in and out of the nether. Also you do not need the Beacon to get terrasteel you need it to summon the Gaia Spirit boss...

Just adding that Terrasteel armour does not take a nether star to make. You need a beacon for the Gaia Spirit pieces. It took me awhile of my mana setup running in the background to get enough for the armour but all I needed was 2 ender tanks 3 BC floodgates an ender-pump with a lava generator...
