    Ok, good to know. If you surround the plants with half slabs, you can still reach them, but the slabs don't let light through. Not a perfect solution, but it works.

    Yeah, a few of those AE2 things seem to be missing... The P2P tunnels, the quartz cutting knife (which I can't even find in NEI), as well as the cable anchors.

    Right now, just a laser drill (which can eat all 12k). Other power-hungry things (though not 12k//tick) that I use include a minechem fusion chamber, synthesizing quartz, and soon an AE setup. ----- But yeah, laser drills are really power-hungry, and are good late-game ore gen.     7x7x7 Big Reactor, with 12k RF/tick! A couple bug(?)s. - The slice'n'splice quest shows up as "Unnamed Quest" and is not completable by normal means. - AE2 P2P tunnels don't seem to have a crafting recipe. Intended? - "Advanced Power Tool" unlocks simultaneously with "Remote Everything"...

    Yeah, Special Mobs silverfish are nasty early-game. If you have an extra iron ingot, know that you can make a chisel, and left-click stone with the chisel to determine whether it is a silverfish block or not (silverfish won't chisel).

    Exactly where I built mine :) I wouldn't recommend setting up your final base there (just because it is in a cold biome, and hypothermia is irritating), but it is definitely good for a starting base, until you get to the point where you feel that moving to an above-ground base in a warmer...

    I can give you my seed when I get home, if you want it. You spawn right next to a patch of sand and a shallow river end. It's a cold biome, but there's some lava not too far away, which you can pick up with a bucket.

    Ok, that mod looks really, really cool. It doesn't look like it will draw from adjacent chests, though, but at least it has the 2-row inventory.

    Yeah, I, too, vastly prefer the vanilla crafting table... Shift-clicking, NEI integration, and for most things I don't need to keep stuff in the table. I only rarely use the werkbench because it's less convenient, the exception being when I'm making a complicated thing that I want to be able to...

    Are the smoke protection & night vision attributes or enchantments (or at they just inherent to that item)? If they're enchantments, you should be able to get them onto a book instead, with the MFR auto-disenchanter. --- I'm finally getting to the point where I'll actually be building separate...

    I can't decide whether I like or dislike the poison effect... Pro: It makes it really easy to tell if there's a hive nearby Con: Silverfish could 1-shot you, potentially... Maybe weakness or nausea, rather than poison, just because poison makes you vulnerable to... Well... Everything...

    Looking forward to playing the update! More quests are always fun :) Are naturally-spawning hives the only source of bees? If so, I guess the poison effect will help us find hives...

    Lava buckets have burn time. You can make a loop to get infinite (though slow-ish) power. -Lava buckets in an octadic stirling generator -The power fuels a magmatic crucible (or, come to think of it, the MFR lava fabricator, if you can make that) -Fluid transposer the liquid lava into buckets...
