It was changed in a recent version of ExtraUtils, now it doesnt matter how far you are, however ther machines wont work unless chunkloaded( such as a grinder, which you probably wanna use. Also it doesnt burn in the sunlight or if light anymore, it just prevents spawning( more user-friendly now)

And apperently you didnt understand me, since I read the first post, but it spawns near Y lvl 20 with limestone around, atleast ive found it with that, there is limestone from Emasher resource.

It spawn deep, like Y lvl 20 or so, you usually find it with some limestone next to it, or next to other ores.
