Using the mindcrack pack

I'm trying to farm uranium using bees, but switching to proven frames made the time it took to make uranium ore a lot longer.

I currently have two alveairies, each with 6 proven frames. I'm currently using one of each for uranium and emerald combs for the moment, but plan to use both for the radioactive bees. One alverary with 6 proven frames gave me about 48 radioactive combs per hour, meaning I would get about 48 uranium per hour if I had two radioactive bees set up. I want about a stack per hour, so I may want to setup 3 radioactive bees, but the proven frames the villagers gave me are odd. Trading gives you 6 proven frames per emerald, but they come in stacks of 6. Putting 6 frames into a frame casing will only act as 1 frame, with the entire stack vanishing once the frame being used dies out. How do I automate this, and what can I do about the production speed? Fast speed doesn't seem to do anything overall to production. Should I just make 5-10+ alveraies, or is that too overkill? I don't really want to just because the area doesn't have enough room for them all.
Proven Frames (as with all other forestry frames) cap their production modifier at 1000% (<4 frames). With a Fast Worker bee, that should be about 24% chance per bee tick of creating a radioactive comb. That'd actually land you somewhere around 31-32 radioactive combs per hour, so you may actually be having extremely good luck. Perhaps you have a Fastest Worker, because those numbers would line up pretty well - 36% chance of getting a radioactive comb (~47/hr). If you want to stick with Proven Frames, I'd recommend using 4 per alveary and using 3-4 alvearies.

You could switch to a Resilient or Magic Frame (can't remember if Mindcrack has both of those, but it should have at least one of them). They don't have a production modifier cap, so 6 should push you over 100% chance per bee tick of making a radioactive comb (you'd get just over one stack of Uranium/hr from a single bee). iirc, however, those frames require the infusion altar to produce in the Mindcrack pack, so they can't be automated.

I don't actually know of a way to automate trading with villagers and you can't make Proven Frames yourself in the Mindcrack pack. There isn't really a down side to using Impregnated Frames instead of Proven Frames, though. They give the same production modifier, they just don't last as long. They're also very easily automated. If you go this route, use 3-4 alvearies with 4 frames each, just like I said for Proven Frames.

The problem with stacked Proven Frames disappearing comes from the fact that, normally, frames aren't supposed to stack. You buy them from a villager in a stack because Sengir thought 6 for one emerald was a good price, but if you un-stack them you can't re-stack them. I presume the coding behind frame housings or whatever didn't account for the possibility of frames being stacked, and just treats the whole stack as a single frame.

I think the fruit picker is more meant for plants such as the fruits that grow from trees in Pams Harvestcraft and berries from TiCo bushes.

Hi so I'm using monster and I'm trying to make a jetpack for power armor but it's not letting me craft the canon mesh stuff that goes into the compressor to make the advanced machine casting so I'm really confused

NEI is showing the incorrect recipe for Carbon Mesh. Try using four coal dust instead of three.

Anyone got a good hungry node build? I am trying to make it look like the hungry node is barely being contained and its causing the ground around it to crack and turn hot like lava.

Its gonna be in the basement of my mage tower so any dark magic esque rooms would be good inspiration.

Chisel mod makes blocks like that I think.

Harvester works without uprooting the plant, that's what I'm using right now. So far it seems like all the ones at 50% after harvesting work this way fine.

Not sure what's up here, but can you pastebin these in the future? It makes them so much easier to read.

Also, these would be better posted on the support site.... And if you are using OptiFine, 99% of the time, that's the problem and extremely difficult to fix; OptiFine does not play nicely with modpacks.

So post-v22, my RotaryCraft steam engines have all exploded; almost every biome in my base preheats them to 62°c.

The exception is the bit of Alps that intersects it, which cools the engine to -22°, which brings it with fire underneath to 99°c, just below the threshold.

I'm not finding anything about the engines changing in the changelogs and I'm not sure what's brought this about. Any suggestions? Or at least, does anyone know which config controls biome temperature? I know that I can use heaters/friction heaters, but both require significant power themselves, which kind of defeats the purpose.

EDIT: I did find a workable solution, letting it come up to temperature and then slapping a cooling fin on top keeps it stable. I am still curious what caused the temperature change and made all of my steam engines explode when I updated, if anyone has insight (RotaryCraft was not the only mod updated)
