    I used to be interested in that - which is why it was named the Universal Config Pack originally - but there's far too much resistance to it in the community at large to get it to stick. 1.7 doing away with IDs entirely might help with that though.

    RU v2.1.0.0 is now out! Nothing has been removed (yay!), but I got some requests for extra mods to support and NEI Plugins released overnight, so an update was in order. Despite the big number increment this patch is fairly minor, so this update post is pretty brief. Happy crafting!

    No RedPower in FTB Unleashed 1.1.3

    If it wasn't clear enough: RedPower effectively no longer exists. The modding community has moved on and filled in the void RP2 left when development stalled. All of RP2's features are now handled by other mods, with the exception of Blutricity which no-one will miss anyway.

    You guys should be aware that from 1.5.* onwards Optifine doesn't work properly with Forge mods so using it at all is not recommended: it will break things.

    If you are using a Minecraft 1.5.* modpack you shouldn't ever need Optifine. If you are still using Ultimate, it may simply be that your PC isn't up to the task of running it at all.
