Yep same issue here. But as far as I know there are no lamps which remove void fog. If you're using Optifine there is an option to turn off void fog. Two downsides: a) the base still looks crap for other players b) Optifine tends to cause more problems than it's worth.

Achievement get: Accidentally create a huge disaster in your base, you can't curse or rage when it happens. Example 1: I was playing with the MFFS sponge upgrade in my base. Result: 8 exploded boilers. Example 2: Spend a lot of time and resources to create the expensive gregtech ic2 machines...

Based on previous experiences; I have "upgraded" the old DW20 pack to Ultimate back in the day without any issues. But your milage may vary.. But before you do anything: MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WORLD!!!!!
