I wanted to throw this out there for any Youtubers. I just created a video showing a way to hide your IP address not only from the select server section of Minecraft, but from any mod or addon that might pop up with the IP in the text box.

I meant to post this back when FTB first came out, but I was having hardware problems and then FTB and Fraps didn't agree with each other, but now everything is working great. So come one come all and watch me learn with you how FTB works and how all the mods interact...

At this point the only file that's needed is the "Portalgun1.4.2v0.2.zip" file from a non-updated client's mod folder. replacing the v0.3 file with the v0.2 file fixes the connection issue. But don't delete the updated .zip file, it will probably be needed once the server files get released.

It seems they removed the server download link from the launcher (or they moved it where I can't find it). Seems I'll have to wait until they update the one on the main page.

My users are getting the same mod errors when trying to log in. I've downloaded the latest server files from this website, but they still cannot connect in. Has the server been updated yet? Edit: I have not updated my client yet I'm still able to log into the server

I'm having this same exact problem. Closing the console helped (Thanks jessassin). I tried Dxtory, but it came with it's own problems. Dxtory also gave the same exact problem, it would create dozens if not hundreds of little video files. My theory is that Dxtory was actually recording both...
