Hello!

Coming back after a break to modded MC, i decided (without much info) to gravitate towards Infinity.

So i was wondering, has anyone made one of those handy spreadsheets/jpegs with the ore distribution for this pack?

Thank you!

The only thing I haven't found so far is certus, but most of my digging has been done at low levels.

I figured that'd be the case. I just finished jumping from a Stirling generator to a 3x3 reactor so I should be good for power :p

yup, you're correct.
though I purely wanted the y levels the ores were generating, so I only searched for those.

with that said, I don't know exactly who had the idea, but what about removing surface gravel ores and generating them in gravel pockets?
it sounded like a pretty good idea, especially because I kind of hate to see all the surface gravel ores everywhere

It's fairly simple to do - but if anyone were to do it, I would tell them that they should probably, at that point, have 6 different veins of gravel that generate. One just normal gravel, and then one vein of gravel for Iron Gravel, Tin Gravel, etc. Having those veins generate at different heights would prevent finding a Gold Gravel vein right by the surface (which doesn't make much sense) or finding Copper Gravel mixed with Gold Gravel.

Ohshit Lapis breaks the fabric of spacetime
lapis = "normal" distribution (bell curve) with mean height 16 and variance 8.... variance is the square of standard deviation... and 3 standard deviations above and below should contain **almost** all the item... so from 8 to 24 should be just about all lapis you ever find... and with it being a bell curve, you'll find 68% of all the lapis strictly between 13 and 19

One of the nice parts of Infinity is that NEI will tell you the ore distribution levels, just look up the ore, and scroll through. There is an entry showing the ore's spawn levels, as well as the optimum level to mine

How do you get the Ore Spawn level from NEI? Do you press "U" for usage on Tin Ore (as an example)? Or how do you get that info? I can't seem to find it.

Press "R" on any ore in NEI just like you would to find the recipe of something
