I'm having trouble understanding how Thermal Expansion servos work with respect to redstone signals. Usually I just set them to ignored and let them work whenever but I'm trying to set some using a timer.

The problem is that if I set it to high, the servos react (they light up for a moment) but don't actually function - they don't pull from the attached inventory. If I set it to low, they run as normal even with 0 redstone signal, just as they do when set to "ignored."

I'm playing the Blightfall back so I don't know, is this an old bug that got fixed at some point, or do I not understand how the redstone function of servos works?

its quite possible that the servo is not getting a long enough redstone signal , maybe u need a repeater

Are you saying that when you use the curse launcher, it makes one profile for the vanilla launcher that it modifies every time, instead of one profile per modpack/instance you use the launcher for?

i.e. -- if I am running three different modpacks from the curse launcher, does it add in three different profiles into the vanilla launcher, or does it keep modifying one single profile each time you switch?

You do get a different profile for each pack. But it overwrites that profile each time you launch the game from Curse. So you can edit the profile once save it then the next time you launch the same pack you get Curse's default profile back and all of the changes you saved are GONE.

I'm looking for 1.10.2 mods with explosion immune chests. I know about Ender Storage, but it's an overkill for just storing the items (and expensive).

Is the Obsidian Chest from Iron Chests explosion resistant? I thought it was, but maybe that was just an assumption on my part.

I don't use the curse launcher, so I can't say. But I thought that the curse launcher just chained to the vanilla launcher with a specific profile.

So:
1. Why not just go directly to the vanilla launcher, and
2. In the vanilla launcher you can edit the profile and set G1GC. It will be remembered.

I had the same revelation one day. What's the point of a so-called "Curse client" that merely seemed to be launching the REAL client... to me Curse seems like extra "dead weight", unnecessary "fluff". Why do I need a "social app" client running on top of a game that I play alone? LOL and sigh And so it goes in our capitalist world, where adding yet another layer to everything is most likely a very "profitable" choice for somebody, somewhere. Oh yay for capitalism. haha And no, don't lump me in with those socialist tards either, don't make that incorrect assumption. LOL And now you might understand why I just play video games all day long. The so-called "real world" generally doesn't make me all too happy, given the limited and awful menu choices. LOL

Is there anyway to automate killing enderdragon for dragon hearts in SF2.5.6?

I can understand using Curse to download a modpack, and set up the launcher config, but once you've done that, you just go straight to the vanilla launcher. The curse front end is a downloader/setup app.

Is there a mod that lets me hook up JABBA Barrels and chests into an interface that is not AE? I'm on Sky Factory 2.5.

RFTools? I don't have any experience with SkyFactory, but I think RFTools is in the pack. RFTools has remote storage modules and can import into storage via item duct or similar.

Its a mess for me too fwiw.

Thanks Pyure, I think I got it despite that page - Wrench, Screwdriver, both Hard and Soft Hammers, Crowbar and Soldering Iron. Maybe someday I'll remember them. Or not. LOL

This is a big step, first run of the Electric Blast Furnace to make my first Aluminium ingots. It's a good day if things don't blow up first!

Fair warning: everyone always messes up their first Aluminium. I recommend you provide it more amps than you think you need (I have been known to attach 4 steam turbines directly to the EBF). Make sure your steam vent isn't obstructed at top.

Also: Make several of those stupid maintenance hatches. They're a pain to make and you'll need a bunch.

Also: You can combine the sides of most GT multi-blocks to save materials. This includes the EBF I believe.

Does anybody know someone who can fix this wiki page? I'm seeing "Lua errors" all over the place. If that isn't the "official" FTB wiki, then my bad...

http://ftb.gamepedia.com/Maintenance_Hatch

Looks like whatever got borked happened when someone took out the 'marked for translation' tags. If you go to the Edit History and select the second entry (the previous revision), everything works fine.

Not sure if it's the official wiki or not, but I reverted the page and left a reason why.

I got away with only using 2 LV Energy Hatches instead of the recommended 3... by putting a 4-slot LV Battery Buffer against each Energy Hatch and then paying close attention to the batteries so they never dropped to zero. The eight LV batteries allowed me to do 2 Aluminium Dusts at a time, then I just wait until the batteries are full before putting 2 more dusts into the EBF.

Once I made my first 9 Aluminium Ingots, then I made the MV Energy Hatch and used a MV->LV Transformer (in Inverted mode) in between my LV Batter Buffer Box and ran my 4 amps of LV Steam Turbine power into the Battery Buffer. Then I made 9 more Aluminium Ingots and made a MV Battery Buffer Box with 2 Lithium MV Batteries (more power buffer/storage than the LV Sodiums)... etc. etc. You just keep climbing the ladder in slow steps, which is what I love so much about the GregTech mod and the InfiTech modpack.

in infinity 1.10.2 what would be the best coolant to use on a extreme reactor?

Is this like Big Reactors, only bigger? I think that Liquid Ender and Gelid Cryotheum are the top two, with the deciding factor being a 'cost of production' call.
