Trick question - they're made of the same stuff :p ah, the corundum conundrum. Its only down the colouring ions present. Basically, everything is a sapphire, except rubies (as determined by colour) and padparadschas (likewise).

Hey - its not often I get to use my geology knowledge! :P Plus the colours actually vary quite a lot!

Even though its just funky quartz, I've got to go with Amethyst.

control technology with your mind. makes it easier to write code and can be used for all sorts of evil euh... I meant good things

Would you rather use normal Java, or some other language that compiles to Java bytecode (such as Scala or Clojure)?
 
I never coded so I have no clue about anything. But I heard that Java isnt that great, but meh! I would take Java.

it used to be that I couldn't even stand on my bed because of the ceiling >_> nonetheless I take that option as I know my floor >_>

WYR write a whole web page in just lua+html+css or go with the php+html+css+javascript
 
I'd go LUA+HTML+CSS. I've heard stories (from you) about Javascript...

Would you rather code in a simple, console-based text editor like Vim or Nano, or use a snazzy IDE like Eclipse?
 
never used eclipse but can I take gedit? because then that please. Else whatever, don't really care.
