No, he did read the rolesheet. Probably several times. He likely knows the rolesheet quite well at this point. He just didn't reach the understanding until you cryptically prodded at it.

MMKAY. As someone who will teach younger kids things fairly often, I don't typically just say it, I try and lead them to it. But fair enough.

Interesting, that is an issue. He has two conflicting win conditions: survive, and get lynched. Meeting one condition will invalidate the other. It's a bona-fide catch-22!
So Technically it's a win win for him unless he manages to get eaten...

You don't understand. One condition requires him to DIE by lynching. The other requires him to NOT DIE at all. So if he gets lynched, he loses with the villager win condition. If he doesn't get lynched, he loses with the tanner win condition. Catch-22.

Though technically it's both a win and a loss. So either the win invalidates the loss or the loss invalidates the win, or he neither wins or loses and is stuck in an eternal limbo of neither! Interesting.

The tanner is one of the best roles, make yourself look like a wolf on D1 and get lynched and don't care anymore, if the village wins, you WIN AGAIN
Edit: for some reason I still use bold... anyway thanks for clarification gory guyguy

Its surprisingly tricky in most games where he's called jester, and can kill someone after he dies. Nobody wants to lynch you, and its hard to look wolfy w/o looking jestery.

Ugly. It gets really ugly. On TOS when I get jester, I am almost always caught and then forced to goof of the entire game. Though thinking about it, acting jester would be a brilliant defense for a wolf. Nobody wants to lynch you and nobody questions you. Hmm...

Yes, well, I, errr, I planned this! Yes, that's right.
I could move the tanner from town to neutral alignment if that makes more sense. Or, I could clarify the role like such: "Also wins if lynched." The way I see it, the tanner can win with the town OR by being lynched, as I never said the tanner loses if he's not lynched. I may not have entirely thought this role through...

I interpret it differently i don't see it as invalidation but an option. I see it separate as in He can do either condition to win. Theres still a high chance he will get eaten by the yoma or killed by a wolf which would be guaranteed loss for him...i think its an interesting mechanic and test of ones ability to act lynchable... not everyone can do it successfully. but yes the rule should be clear if it invalidates the other condition or not.

you can have your cake and eat it too? or stare at a pie instead?

The second option looks more interesting to the tanner I guess.

I'm voting RJS as the usual antismite business. I don't think he'll get lynched since pyure is leading now, right?

Ultimately then, he'll win in any case but if he's wolfkilled. Which seems kinda odd and defeats the point of a jester role. I'd say stick with the assumed mechanic of only wins of lynched.

Look behind you
1) we just started, don't panic
2) The last time someone panicked about having more than 1 vote on D1, it turned out they were a wolf (last game or the game before, I forget which)
3) The whole point of the process is for someone to have more votes than other people? My vote wasn't an antismite. With the information I have right now I'm hoping you get lynched and die horribly (and also preferably that you're a wolf when that happens)
Or you know, I just don't want to get lynched.
I'm getting rather sick of people assuming that basic will to survive = wolfyness. It's becoming so common in every game I am in and dumb logic like this gets someone falsely accused. I swear it must happen to me nearly once per game.

Pyure may still be a wolf. He's rather quick to point blame. Then again he's always suspicious and paranoid. So do with that what you will.

I don't particularly wanna get lynched either, but its not really time to freak yet. Even if I'm leading right now, I never get lynched in the first couple days. I probably never will. If we do it this game, it means too many players are really shit at werewolf.

livingangrycheese (livingangrycheese) -> Claims tanner (soft and private hard claim) --> strong wolf scent here.
-> "Dammit Pyure since when was I ever this useless?" -> Wolfy
RealKC (pyure) -> still looks town, questioning LAC's apparent suicide.
goreae (erindalc) -> says erin being cryptic -> slight town read
spwnx (RJS) -> Not participating. Slightly wolfy, but its in his range.
the_J (i forget who) -> Bitchy about defensiveness. Its in his range.

He's rather quick to point blame. .
Examples please; don't be vague or its just mudflinging.

Nah. I didn't know how to say what I felt so I said that. I went through like three different ways to say it and just settled on that. It's just a feeling you know?

And why would the tanner just reveal as the tanner immediately? What's your reasoning for revealing so quickly cheese?

Well as you've demonstrated I am one of the less wolfy people on your radar. Mind moving your vote? I don't want to have to move mine to someone with one or two already just to survive.

Yep. I like to think I'm laying suspicion on people, not blame. I'm shining a bright in people's eyes and seeing what happens.

Does anyone feel like he was really revealing as tanner before realKC suggested it? Or was this just a convenient ploy for a wolf?
