For some reason every time I try and start a new world or gen a native biome controlled mystcraft age (trying to replicated the overworld) i get a world that is entirely ocean, only time it hasn't happened is when I either tell the age no seas or void.

I'm using the ultimate pack, could there be a config of a mod in the pack that's causing that.

First off, to find out, what might be wrong, please write down all the pages used in your age-book. Second, as a shot into the blue, do you 'close' your book with a 'Clear modifiers' page?

An example of what I've been trying is

Native Biome Controller
Standard Terrain
Zero Length, Noon, Normal Sun
Dark Moon
Dark Stars
Normal Weather
Standard Lighting
Dungeons
Strongholds
Ravines
Mineshafts
Clear Modifiers

and I'll either end up with a Void age or something like a checkered mushrooms (twilight forest) biome / mushroom island biome covered

Well, now you're changing your story. Originally you said you were always ending up with an endless sea, now you're saying you get mooshroom/TF checkered biome. Which is it?

Both, and more...I've used the exact same pages in the same orders and always ended up with different things. Sometimes its a checkered biome, sometimes its a void, others its an endless sea with different biomes but all underwater. That's why I'm asking for help, because according to everyone else thats used the pages I have, they get exactly what I'm trying to get. I've even gone back and checked the books afterwards to make sure the pages were right.

I read about a (already known by XCompWiz) bug that might cause this behaviour, even though the used symbols are perfectly fine for a stable Mystcraft-Age. What you could try out is the following:
1. Backup (Copy) your miss-behaving age on your desktop or elsewhere convenient
2. Go back to the age-folder within the ftb installation folder
2a. BACKUP YOUR AGE! (like, srsly!)
3. delete the region folder / .mca files

Log back in and go to your age and see if that makes any difference.
