Hello,

My girlfriend and I have been hosting a tekkit server for about 5 months now.

Recently, we have decided to switch to FTB.

However, the wonderful plugin I have come to know and love, worldedit, does not seem to work with FTB.

I'm lazy. Not having world edit makes building a good spawn...slower.

Is there anyway to get world edit work with Mindcrack? If not, is there a viable alternative to worldedit that works smoothly with FTB?

Thank you for your time and any information.

It has extremely few would be a better way to put it. In the future that program may be useful but for now it's just a general shell of usefulness. It's still a year or more at current dev rate before can really fill the role it's trying to fill.

Still trying to wrap my head around how plugins are "taking over" FTB. FTB serves the purpose of packaging mods conveniently. Plugins serve the purpose of making server management easier.

Ill give you what I personally did for my server to fix this problem.
-Install BukkitForge
-Install World Edit
Simple as that, all you have to do for Bukkitforge is stop the server put it in 'coremods' then run the server then put World Edit in the 'plugins' folder :).

Thanks for the information.

We just updated forgeessentials and now whenever I try to //set a selected area I'm getting an error.

Anyone else having this problem?

What version of FE are you using? If it's a beta version, they are changing quite fast. Just yesterday they really started adding WorldControl (WE) commands.

I don't normally comment on threads but this one was just crying out :D

Forge Essentials is made for Forge but its so far behind bukkit in terms of functionality that your making work for yourself.

I used it for 2 months on my server and even using World Edit was painful. The number or errors I got was staggering.

I changed to MCPC+ a few months back and after getting it installed it works damn near flawlessly. World Edit, World Guard, World Border, all work exactly as intended or as they would on a Bukkit server.

Forge Essentials World Edit had issues working on all the different worlds so it sometimes wouldn't work in the nether or the End, or Twilight Forrest. MCPC+ allows it access in all of them and seems to generate a lot less lag in doing so.

I have no doubt that eventually a forge based system will be better but currently, most servers run bukkit as it offers a lot more power per plugin. Hope something there is useful :)

Hey guys sorry if this is too much of a necropost. I've installed the latest stable MCPC+ for 1.5.2 and the latest stable WorldEdit and WorldGuard on my FTB Unleashed server. Everything works great EXCEPT that I'm not getting any support for modded blocks in WorldEdit. I get an unrecognized block name everytime I type the ID of a modded block, or when using commands like 'stack', they are simply ignored. I'm hoping I'm missing something simple and/or obvious. Any help? Thanks in advance!

Try using WorldEdit 5.5.6 for 1.5.2 instead of 5.5.7, and have taken a look at block support @ http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/WorldEdit/Introduction#Block_support

Nothing of substance but: Oh look! OP is an eve player!

On-topic: MCPC+ 1.5.2 build 638+ will work with WE 5.5.6 on unleashed.
