Wither boss trap

Possibly in the wrong place but here I go anyway

Ive recently been testing ways of making a wither boss trap in creative on ftb monster but the wither can seem to break every single block I can put infront of it including bedrock (suposedly the strongest block in the game). Ive also tried using mffs but still no good. Ive seen a few ways of stopping it from destryoing everything but just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas

Yea ive tried that aswell ive also tried reinforced stone but still no joy. I have been building the walls at least 3 thick so it cant glitch through. Im going to try warded stone when I get a chance

Do you have the newest version of extra utilities? I'm pretty sure the highest level of compressed works now.

Use the vanilla trap. Find a place in nether where you are close to bedrock in celing. Place a piston and a lever. Make the boss on the piston and before he is ready you activte the piston. He will be trapped in bedrock and you can just hit him as you want.

Use the vanilla trap. Find a place in nether where you are close to bedrock in celing. Place a piston and a lever. Make the boss on the piston and before he is ready you activte the piston. He will be trapped in bedrock and you can just hit him as you want.

You can also use the portal in the end once you defeat the dragon. heck there was a youtube video of someone using a trapped wither to make an automatic tree farm in vanilla.

If you've got factorization, it screws up bedrock not being broken by the wither.

Vanilla bedrock it can't break, but for some reason I found factorization replaced vanilla bedrock with its own, which isn't unbreakable to the wither.

If your using the latest pack it should have the latest version of Extra Utilities. If that's true, the top 2 tiers of compressed cobblestone will be unbreakable by the wither.

You could try locking him in an avatar

Ive used single MFFS shield without any problems to contain wither, just put speed upgrades in projector to keep up him destroying shield blocks.

I don't believe the Wither can break blocks if it's in a minecart.

EDIT: Other than by shooting Wither Skulls, anyway.

Also, Withers sitting in Minecarts make excellent sentries

I've seen this work, it was fucking hilarious! The silly things that can be done in Vanilla alone boggle the mind sometimes!

Warded stone, bedrock, and MFFS should be unbreakable to the wither- bug??

Something like the buildcraft filler- give it a stupid amount of power and infinite cobblestone and it might suffocate the wither.

Don't know about the filler it might work but it would require massive materials.

as for the others as some others have said Factorization apparently adds its version of bedrock which is breakable by the wither. And TC warded blocks should be unbreakable now, but I don't know if the version in the packs is there yet (i think it was fixed yesterday)
