Well as of the new version and onwer of mffs it no longer uses forcicium at least I dont think it does anyway it uses fortron if im not mistaken

I don't get it.

64 × .375 = 24

In some countries like the us, the dot is used to denote the decimal point, whereas the comma denotes thousands separator - the complete opposite of many other countries.

Yeah, interesting that it just happened to be .375, which happens to be 3/8, which happens to divide evenly into 64.

Use the vanilla trap. Find a place in nether where you are close to bedrock in celing. Place a piston and a lever. Make the boss on the piston and before he is ready you activte the piston. He will be trapped in bedrock and you can just hit him as you want.

This actually wont work if you are using the direwolf20 modpack or any of the other modpacks with flat bedrock. Since the bedrock layer is only 1 thick the wither will pop up ontop of the surface of the bedrock.

I did that in the current DW20 and I dont have flat bedrock. A friend on same server however told me that she had flat bedrock in nether.

Flat bedrock is a config option in one of the COFH files. If someone has messed with configs, it may be off. If not, the default setting in the packs (as far as I know) is to have it turned on.

I was just in the nether in a DW20 pack. The nether's bedrock was definately not flat on top. Overworld was however.

On our server, which uses the standard Dw20 configs, it is flat.
Maybe you/your server admin changed something? Or it may be the 1.0.14 that changed it, since we use version 1.0.12.

I set the configs on my server, and I imagine if I did see a config like that, I'd prefer the nether to have an uneven bedrock roof. Its possible I changed it. I dont recall the change logs having anything about setting bedrock though.

I've been on top of the nether twice, once with a mod that teleports you up there for travel, and once due to a staircase that went all the way up there, through the bedrock. Second event was due to mods as well, but this time it was more interesting as I just walked up there.

I've always been curious, when you do that, what's the legitamate way of getting back down?
(I've always used link books to get back down, but is there a vanilla way?)
