Witch Huts

I have been flying around and only managed to find one swamp. How does anyone manage to find biomes they are looking for in FTB mindcrack pack? Any suggestions as to what I could do to find a witch hut?

You just have to luck out and find a swamp biome that has one. I don't know of a tool like Amidst that works with ExtraBiomesXL. In the Mindcrack world I used to play in, I'd actually disabled almost all of the extra biomes since they made the normal ones so rare.

If you're just looking to find a few witches, there are other options. If I'm not mistaken, using transformation powder on a skeleton druid will turn it into a witch. They can also spawn in area with high flux, though it's relatively rare; you'd probably have to do a lot of flux farming before you'd see one.

Yeah I've only seen them in plan old swamp boimes never in any of the added swamp varients.

And yes if you have TF and get your hands on some transformation powder you can turn the druids into witchs and make a soul shard for your witch farming needs.

Looking for witches, witch huts aren't your best bet.

Transformation powder on skeleton druids in the twilight forest gives witches, their huts (skeleton druids) normally come with a skeleton druid spawner too, so once you've found one of their huts it's not very long before they spawn.

They're much more common than swamps, let alone witch huts

Now, in my 4th world with EBXL I finally found a witch hut, unfortunately it is 2/3rd in ocean. It is also not the case that I don't explore enough, usually everything in 3 km circle around spawn I have explored rather quickly (my 1.4.6 save had 500 MB).
