I thought about that but then I thought about the existances of things like Blood Armor from Blood magic and having Permenant Debuffs makes it so there's not really a way of getting away from the debuffs (I'll try to make them not able to be cured like if you were wearing Quantum Armor).
Surely you could develop ways of making the collectors less ignorable, plus Blood armor is less OP as it used to be.

There is also the option of using BOTH mob attack and debuffs.

Well If I do do this I would make the mob that comes after you look like Brax from Dungeons of Dredmor and maybe make him apply permanent until removed (by taking amulet off) debuffs. That actually kind of sounds fun... TO THE MYSTICAL ROOM OF WONDERMENT (The room where my computer resides (I'm on my phone)).

Edit: Gunna make him able jump super high (No jetpacking away) and hit 150 hearts :3, Also I add a config option to make it function like I initially said it would.

That was kind of the inspiration, the Dred Collectors.
You don't have to make them too OP just unignorable. Make it so you can't realistically do anything until the debt is payed, if you wanted to be really evil and a bonafide horrible person, you could make it detect when they are in a UI and give them a chance to trigger.

The main reason for making them able to wreck everything is that otherwise its possible during later game to use the equipment for extremely high tier equipment and beable to pay it back within a week. However if you find a way to Twink and get Blood Armor, Quantum Armor or any other Full Defense Armor you could completely ignore them unless I make them ungodly strong; This was my original reason for the Permenant Debuffs.
