Why does my roof look so awkward

Im using half slabs it looks terrible what am i doing wrong.

I'd wager it's because slabs go out a full block but are only a half block tall.

Try using some stairs and maybe try adding some stone bricks to tje the roof, to break the monotone color. I just an advice though

Vanilla blocks and halfblocks tend to look, well, blocky.

You can make a handsaw and cut up blocks into various shapes of microblock to smooth the transitions.

It's on the right side of the roof, if you look hard enough, you might find the reason why the roof doesn't look so good, it might be a matter of expanding your whole build one block out, also use some stairs in the build. It will give the roof more texture.

Edit: you don't need to expand at all, your just missing a few blocks.
