I never said you HAD to run FTB Monster, did I? There's a hundred and one modpacks out there, hell, you can even create your own one like I did.
Name me one mod that makes Redstone bad. Mods downloaded less than 500 times may not be included.
And then Mojang adds a ton of crap in the actual 1.8 update and BOOM, lag attack. Happened before, and can happen again.

You notice you said the word "seed"? It basically means that someone typed in something random on the seed generator and GOT LUCKY. Not every world is gonna have a Savanna at the spawn you know.
It's more awesome than a metal box powered by a yellow ingot that technically DOES NOT EXIST. And don't you EVER, EVER say that about ReactorCraft again. And you got a problem with circles son?
My point is that Vanilla Minecraft is SO SO SOOOOOOO f***ing unrealistic. A sword made out of diamonds? No problem, hell we'll even make it STRONGER (as in physically stronger aka more durability) than a sword made out of IRON. Same goes with Diamond Armor. And in Vanilla Minecraft, the average player's goal is to find some random blue rock. In modded Minecraft, that blue rock isn't important anymore.
You build your own pack? Then this confirms that you truly are so technologically incompetent as to not realize that now you can control what mods you have, that big mods=more lag, and you can choose not to install these big mods.

Actually, for me *that* is one of the attractions of Minecraft. I do not want a duplication of real life. I want a game where there are funny and funky things. And besides, many mods add new stuff to Minecraft which are just as unrealistic. All magic mods are unrealistic by nature and most tech mods are not *that* realistic either.

The ~20 times I spawned a world in 1.7 vMC, I got a SINGLE forest. You, sir, are the one being ignorant here. Oh, and..

If you cared at all about freedom you would know that, regrettably, we live in a planet that is far from completely free for a huge swath of the population. You should stop claiming ignorance in others.

This forum does encourage open discussion about minecraft, but there are rules. Rules like be nice and no personal attacks. This is an FTB forum not your own personal soapbox. Your free speech is moderated by the FTB forum rules. If you don't like that, you can find a place with lower standards and vent there.

Thats my opnion too. If a mod pushes it too far in reality, then its will not fit in with other mods.

Dude, all id conflicts are wiped out in 1.7 . Technically you can install whatever you like, whitout id shifting.
1.8 will have world threading in it, whitch will remove lagg from being in more than one dimension at the same time.
WorldGen got way better whitout the need of installing Biomes'O Plenty or something.



They definietly like mods. Dinnerbone made a snapshot just for the slime block "mod".

If dumping the zip file means trying to ballance all recipes aganist each other, and trying to build a tech tree from the different mods, than you right.Know that minetweaker can't be used for that, i had to search for alternatives.

As I recall mods are meant to expand game play to make it enjoyable to play the game with other features. To compare vanilla minecraft to modded minecraft is entirely apples to oranges.

I don't mind the mods or my world breaking due to updates (it does suck though), you can't call yourself a Minecraft player if you are not able to adapt to change, as it's been a facet and a flaw of Minecraft since infdev. If you cannot get over change and things breaking, Minecraft is just not your game.

It's because EnderIO didn't have those, and then they updated to 1.7, and then they added the "TE type slots". The 1.6.4 version doesn't have them because the 1.6.4 version is an old version.
