I don't know where to post this so in the new 1.3.3 update for the FTB launcher in the changelog it stands that 32 bit users with 2.5 GB can allocate 1.5 GB to the launcher but i cant do that why ? I can only allocate 1 GB :D

Unless I'm totally mistaken, it's a hardcoded limitation of 32-bit Java to only allow 1GB of RAM allocation. There's no way around this limitation other than using a 64-bit OS and 64-bit Java.

You can allocate more..it doesn't do anything but you can allocate it :D Sorta like having more than 3.5g (or thereabouts) ram in an XP computer it can be there but it might as well not be.

32bit Windows is able to allocate about a gig and a half per program.

For whatever reason, the FTB launcher has capped the amount you can allocate to your modded MineCraft installs at 1gb.

It's always been possible to break the 1gb cap by manually entering in the figures you want as "advanced options", but in my experience, this hasn't really helped all that much with the 1.6.4 packs: I was able to launch the full DW20 pack on a 32bit OS in this manner, but only a couple of times, and the operative word there is "launch"... I was never actually able to enter a world. It wants even more RAM then that, so this sounds like a "too little, too late" thing to me.
