If you want a mod wiki to have better info the best way to achieve that would be to submit updated articles that better present more info on the page you want updated. The kind of info I want on a mod item would be how much setup work is involved in getting to the point where I can actually get the item in question; if it's a processing item like the Industrial Centrifuge or Industrial Blast Furnace (both GT) then what power setup is ideal to run it off and what kind of energy sources would I want to be harnessing to get there. That kind of info would be very helpful whether it was on the same page or on pages that link to the item in question but it would only happen if someone submits articles that are written to the required standards.

When you get wikis explaining power sources and such, all of the new comers will end up using the same system, and it becomes boring.

Have you ever even visited it? When I was really into writing wiki pages I would go to sleep planning to write a few pages, and come back to see they were created, along with 50 other pages. The team is hard at work a lot of the time, and there is tons of information on it. It just happens to be up to date, and it seems you are looking for info on older modpacks. Them writing support for every single version of a mod is completely implausible.

YouTube is actually a good source, as you see it working, and have 100% proof that it works.

Secondly, you just create an account (preferably under the name DREVL), find pages that are missing, and write them correctly following the guidelines that should be available in the link portal thingy.[DOUBLEPOST=1378855326][/DOUBLEPOST]
Many mod wikis are not very info heavy.

Also, best modpack to replace MindCrack would be DW20 + GT.
yes I have visited it. over many topics. It had nothing for so long that I stop going to it. It has since added content. Not enough on atleast 1.5 stuff, but more than I expected. I am not only looking for info on old stuff, but new stuff. I don't expect things to be updated all the time. MFR is a big deal in 1.5 ftb. There is nothing there. While looking at a youtube and seeing a run through is good, it is horrible trying to find the specific info you are looking for in a youtube. Already going through the steps of making myself available doing that previously noted in this thread. Moving on...
